Natural History

At the weekend, my partner and I visited the Natural History museum in London. The day started of a nice sunny day. Was a nice warm day. We traveled from the Family home in South East London via car to the local train station. We got 2 trains to start with, over ground and under ground. I wanted to go to a shop to see if they have an image in stock. They didnt, before you ask. We then walked 10 minutes up the road to get on another train to the Natural History museum.

We had to be there by midday to meet my partners younger sister. We had been traveling with my partner's twin. Her sister was delayed by an hour due to circumstances out of her control. It was ok, as we had been delayed anyway.

We got to the venue and the sky was cloudy by clear. I do like a bit of cloud as it makes for good photos.

We didn't have to wait long and arrived into the natural history museum and had a little bit of lunch.

As you can see, I took a photo looking at the main stair case. I put about a 2 second shutter speed as I wanted to get people walk in motion. I think they came out ok. I won't go into too much details about the museum, however, it is a nice day out and it is free. Food and drink is costly. There is lots to see and do. My partner and I enjoyed the biology section.

As the day got on, I got more confident as the day went on with taking photos. I hope people like them. I want to improve in my photo taking skills as well as my eye for a good picture.

The photo to the right was taken while waiting at traffic lights to cross the road. While I had the camera bag over my shoulder, I placed the camera on the bay and took another 2 second shutter speed shot. It may not be amazing, nevertheless I like it.

Once we left the museum, it did start to rain, which was ok as we had been on our way home anyway. In the end, we walked about 8 miles. A long way, but it was a lovely day.
