2018. New Year, New Start, New beginnings
It's been a while since I last wrote a blog and to be honest, I'm not sure what to write here. What has happened since I last wrote a blog? Not a lot. Christmas has come and gone. 2017 has finished and we welcome in 2018. For me, 2018 brings a new beginning. My wife and I are expecting our first child.
Back to the present and how was my 2017? It was good. I can't complain, I ran the London Marathon and got a personal best for the distance. I went to Prague and Paris. Both were excellent. In July, my wife and I found out that we are expecting out first child. This blog is probably all over the place as I am not sure hat to write to be fair.
I think I should write about my 2 latest photos. To the right, you will see a photo taken with my new fisheye lens. I took the picture while I was at Castlefield in Southsea on New years day. The sun was setting and it was a day afternoon. In the center of the photo, you may see a white structure. This is a band stand, which is used during the summer months on a Sunday with Live music. To the left in Southsea Castle. Southsea Castle, historically also known as Chaderton Castle, South Castle and Portsea Castle, is an artillery fort originally constructed by Henry VIII on Portsea Island, Hampshire, in 1544. Bit of history there for you.
Below, is another photo that I took while on my walk on New years day. It was taken using my other new lens. This time, the building you can see is Spitbank Fort. Spitbank Forf, or Spitsand Fort or Spit Sand Fort or simply Spit Fort is a sea fort built as a result of the 1859 Royal Commission. The fort is one of four built as part of the Palmerston Forts constructions. It is now a luxury boutique hotel venue.
Back to 2018. What are my hopes for this coming year? To live life, have fun and enjoy every moment with my child when he or she arrives. Every day is a new day, I plan to wake up every day with a smile on my face. I will be going to a wedding in August , which is located in Scotland. The prefect chance to take some lovely photos.
