New Forest, One Night Away

Last Christmas, my partner wanted a night away in the New Forest. 11 Months later, we had our stay. On the Friday afternoon, we have afternoon tea. I'm not one for cream and strawberries, so I kind of ate around this. It was nice.

After our afternoon tea, we went for a little walk around the village. It was a nice walk and we saw some horses. It was a nice day and the weather was lovely. The sky was blue and not a rain drop in sight.

We walk past a lovely looking church also, which you can see left. The village isn't very big. Well, it is a village. There wasn't much to see around, so we decided to head towards our hotel.

The drive to the hotel was up a country road, just before a roundabout. We had to drive for around 2 minutes at 10 miles an hour. we drove up to the hotel and parked up. There are spaces outside the front of the hotel, we extra spaces around the back. We parked up outside the front and the spaces are filled with little pebbles. We got out of the car and thought, WOW. We checked in and went to our room. We had hotel room 10. It was up the stairs, turn left and then right. The room was small, but nice. Once we have dumped out things, we went to the bar and ordered a lemonade each. and decided to go for another walk.

The building is beautiful, the above picture is of the back of the hotel. The sun was setting and the sky was red. What a lovely, and beautiful sunset. We walked up the road abit and then back inside. It was getting cold. Our table for dinner was booked for 7.30pm, so we had a few hours to spare. I took one of the books I have brought with me and started to read.

When we left for dinner, we found out that there was a wedding on. Great. O well, can't have it our own way. The food we had tasted great. The chips we had were huge. We only had a starter and a main. We couldn't eat more than that.

After dinner, we retired to our room and got ready for bed. I quickly went outside and took a few more pictures. I had a quick look at the pictures and I was not happy with them, it wasn't until around 11pm that I knew what I could had done. It was too late to go out and do it.

In the morning, we got up early and had breakfast at 8.30am. Due to the wedding, we wanted to get breakfast before they did. Check out was at 11am. We left it until 10.50am and I, as always, took all the bath stuff they put out. After we left the hotel, I drove to Lyndhurst. We went for a walk around the village shops and then into the country side.

We saw a few more hoses. When I was younger, my father was bitten by a horse. I'm sure it was here as I can remember a tree on top of a hill and there is one here to. With 45 mins to go on our parking ticket, we went back into the village and had lunch. It was nice and decided to go home. It was a lovely weekend away. The weather was nice for a November day. It was a little cold but we had warm clothes. Sometimes, you just need to have time to yourself away with a love one. Just relax and get away from all modem technologies.
